Working in partnership with Faraday Packaging, Phil Richardson led a knowledge shop on idea generation. Using biomimetic models developed by Phil delegates from companies such as Diageo, Reckitt Benckiser, Amdocs and Crown worked through a critical business issue to identify new ideas. The event was run at Bristol Zoo which provided an excellent environment in which to work and it provided first hand access to nature - one which all the delegates found stimulating. The biomimetics approach was compared to the standard approaches currently taken by the delegates and found that the biomimetic models generated more focus, challenges to the strategic thinking and an extended range of ideas.
The next step in the knowledge shop process is to tackle a business specific challenge back at the delegates' company.
