Successful Biomimetics
The first annual BIONIS conference, ‘Successful Biomimetics’, is taking place in
Bath, UK
on September 20th. The closing date for registration is September 10th,
so if you are thinking about attending, you need to register soon. I have attached
registration forms to make it easy for you.
The evening event is the formal presentation of the First BIONIS Biomimetics Award,
followed by the Prize Winner’s lecture. This part of the day is free, so if you
are anywhere near
Bath
, why not come to this part of the day? The prize winner, Dr Carlo Menon, from Simon
Fraser University, Toronto, Canada, will be talking on ‘Travels in Biomimetics:
from Gecko glue to Robotic spy flies’, the travels to centres of biomimetic research
worldwide he was able to do as the result of winning the award.
The conference is at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific
Institution http://www.brlsi.org/
, in the centre of
Bath
.
